Lakeside Polo 2010 Event Information

When and Where is the event?

Saturday December 4th, 2010. Aughtie Drive (opposite pit straight) at Albert Park Lake. Gates open at 11am.

What should I wear?

Always dress for the comfort - that means consider the weather. This is Melbourne remember. As far as fashion goes - think country racing. Stylish, glamorous, georgous. Nothing wrong with a hat especially if its sunny. Prizes are given to the best fashions on the field so you could be rewarded for effort.

How do I get there?

We recommend Taxi or Tram - that way you don't have to worry about the booze bus. But, there is plenty of parking if you are the designated driver. Transport is provided to the after party if that helps with your decision.

How many polo games are there?

There are two matches. The first one is at 12pm. The second is at 3pm.

Is there any other entertainment?

Yes. A DJ plays through out the day. There is a fashion parade, stomping of the diviots, a cork drop and the champagne run. There are also lots of hot single guys and girls - so brush up on your conversation skills.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Hell NO! If you are the guest of a corporate or are lucky enough to be in the VIP marquee the food and beverage is supplied all day. If you and some friends are in the pony lounge then there is a cash bar and gormet food concessions for those fussy eaters. And don't worry, our bar prices are cheeper than your local pub.
